Her career in journalism began with Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter for WPDE-TV. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on DUI instances. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year award for every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell is a leading anchor at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
